CSG Government Solutions, a national leader in government program modernization, today announced that John Walsworth, CSG’s Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer, has been named among The Top 25 CEOs of 2024 by The Consulting Report (TCR) for the second year in a row.
The Top 25 Consulting Firm CEOs of 2024 are leading their firms through complex initiatives amidst rapidly advancing technology and shifting market dynamics in the consulting industry, which is now a $300 billion market. Through their ability to inspire and coordinate large organizations, they guide their firms not only to adapt to change—but lead it, positioning them as essential partners in long-term success. This year’s awardees were selected through a methodical nomination process and careful consideration of each candidate’s career track record and industry contributions.
Walsworth founded CSG Government Solutions in 1997 and built the company into a national leader in the management of complex projects that modernize the information technology and organizational processes of large government programs that support vulnerable populations such as Medicaid, unemployment insurance, child support, child welfare, and other assistance programs.
Walsworth built CSG with a focus on delivering high-quality management services and ensuring the productivity of project teams. Over the past 25 years, the CSG team has helped hundreds of public sector clients navigate large technology shifts, from the early introduction of online services to current efforts to streamline processes through the integration of artificial intelligence and other capabilities. Walsworth also established CSG Tech, an organization focusing on industry research, training, and automated tools that promote the success of system modernization efforts. Prior to founding CSG, he worked as a consultant for Andersen Consulting and Computer Sciences Corporation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history and mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
“Receiving this recognition reflects CSG’s continued leadership in the management consulting sector,” says Mr. Walsworth. “I’m proud of the team we’ve built here, and I look forward to another year of supporting the goals of our state government clients across the country.”
