She has more than 11 years of experience working in child welfare programs, including supervising and training child welfare specialists; ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and policies; and collaborating with community resources to coordinate services. Melissa has used business process improvement principles to develop and implement plans, systems, and workflows to improve timeliness and operation of services that better support state and local citizens. She has created and presented trainings and tools on child welfare practices and procedures for incoming county and state staff.
